Skin Microneedling is the #1 treatment in the world for skin rejuvenation. It is a superior anti-aging and skin refining treatment used to correct skin damage and regenerate collagen. It is also known as collagen induction therapy.
Skin microneedling is clinically proven to:

Using the latest German technology, a medical skin microneedling device is used to generate micro-lesions in the skin (approx. 1.5mm piercing depth). The speed of the machine creates a comfortable vibration and depth of the device is adjusted throughout the treatment for comfort and optimal results. Your skin is thoroughly sanitised and we work from a sterile environment to ensure no cross contamination.
Depending on your skin type and condition, your therapist will create a treatment plan to achieve optimal results.
At Salon Ten we don’t use Topical Local Anaesthetic or recommend this to our clients prior to treatment. TLA causes the blood vessels to constrict and in doing so, we lose the ability to understand where in the skin we are working.
You will find that due to the speed, and efficiency of our medical grade device, you will not need to use TLA. Our device operates at a frequency of up to 150 oscillations per second which creates a low vibration to create comfort during the procedure. The procedure is quick and the therapist has the ability to adjust speed and depth for comfort throughout the treatment.
Depending on your skin type and condition, your therapist will create a treatment plan to achieve optimal results. In general, 3-6 treatments at 6-8-week intervals. Following this a maintenance plan of 1-2 a year will be created to sustain your results.

Skin Microneedling can help to treat Acne vulgaris stages I an II otherwise known as epidermal congestion. For Acne that has move to stages III and IV we recommend working with our therapists to treat and correct the Acne first and get it under control.
Skin Microneedling is helpful also for breaking down scar tissue as a result of Acne.
A letter from you Doctor with their approval for treatment will need to be supplied. With approval we may proceed provided there are no other contraindications to the treatment.
Downtime is minimal with the following to be observed.
24 hours after
Expect to see minor swelling, pinpoint bleeding may be slightly visible, erythema (redness of the skin) and for the skin to feel warm, similar to that of a sunburn.
PLEASE NOTE: Do not attempt to cool the skin with the use of ice packs. Heat in the skin during this phase is completely normal and an indication that the skin is doing its job and repairing itself. Attempts to cool the skin during this time can result in the skin halting its repair process.
1-2 days after
Expect to see Minor flaking. If this is your first treatment you may experience more flaking. This is perfectly normal as this is a sign that the skin is getting rid of old cells and making way for new ones. You may feel a sensitive skin sensation and it may appear dry and tight. The redness and heat will have subsided and shouldn’t be as intense. During this time make sure that you are using your protective SPF and nourishing recommended cream.
3-4 days after
Expect to still see minor flaking. Any sensitivity should be dissipating. If you find that you have no sensitivity of the skin at this stage you may resume with your Ultraderm products and active products.
4-5 days after
Expect to see a full recovery of your skin, Resume use of active ingredients that has been discussed with your therapist.
Yes you can still have skin needling done in conjunction with Botox and fillers however there must be a 2 week wait time either side of the treatment to avoid a washout effect and distribution beyond the injection site.
